Jeffrey Marx won the 1986 Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting while working for the Lexington (Kentucky) Herald-Leader newspaper. Now a freelance journalist based in Washington D.C., he has written for numerous publications including Sports Illustrated, Newsweek, Time, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, and the Chicago Tribune.

He is the co-author of two books written with Olympic champion Carl Lewis: Inside Track (1990) and One More Victory Lap (1996).

Marx is also a co-founder and director of the Wendy Marx Foundation for Organ Donor Awareness, a non-profit organization established in 1990. The foundation is named for his sister, Wendy, whose life was saved by a liver transplant in 1989.

Also the author of "Season of Life:  A football star, a ballboy, a journey to manhood" (2002), Marx has written a true story about his childhood hero, former professional football star Joe Ehrmann, who teaches what it really means to be a man of substance and impact.
